Except for a few changes, the VersaLight UV polarizer is very similar to the NIR and IR components. The polarizing surface is placed on a substrate of fused silica, and the wire grid is not immersed in a protective overcoat. Without a protective overcoat, these polarizers are extremely susceptible to damage; as a result, we assemble the UV polarizers with an air gap and a window covering the polarizing surface. This window also can be specified as another VersaLight UV Polarizer, which dramatically increases the contrast ratio of the component.

VersaLight sets a new standard for applications whose demands include stability in harsh environments and a wide field of view from the ultraviolet through the near infrared (300-2000 nm).
